MAGNOLIA NEW BEGINNINGS
WHAT WE DO
Our Mission Statement
Magnolia New Beginnings, Inc. is dedicated to advocating for those affected by Substance Use Disorder (SUD), as well as their families and loved ones. By providing educational information and peer support, we empower families who have a loved one affected by this disease, as well as those with a SUD, to make their own informed choices regarding treatment.
Education and Advocacy
In an effort to advocate for those with a substance use disorder (SUD) and their families, as well as educate the local community on the dangers of substance abuse, particularly opioids, and create an awareness of the disease, we speak at and attend various local community events and disseminate information relative to SUD awareness and offer assistance for the those seeking recovery and their families both in person and online.
Families are given access to an online network of peer support of those in similar situations across the country.
Helping those with an SUD maintain their sobriety: Often when a person leaves a detox facility, or after leaving an inpatient program, they find they have nowhere to go except back to the very places their SUD took root. We strive to help in that process by providing assistance for those leaving a treatment program and entering approved sober living communities, with deposits or portions of deposits toward rent, who otherwise would not be able to afford these healthier living arrangements until they are able to secure employment and provide for themselves.
Recipients are expected to prove financial eligibility as well as act as mentors to others in return for this assistance. All scholarship/financial requests are made through clinicians and case managers in approved treatment centers in various states.
Please email Maureen@MagnoliaCS.com for more information.
Helping those in recovery reach their highest potential:
Recovering individuals will be given assistance in furthering their education and or help with establishing themselves in productive enterprises after leaving treatment. Limited assistance is available.
Magnolia New Beginnings has no paid staff, no overhead aside from minor administrative costs such as postage, website etc.., which allows all donations to go to the intended purpose; raising awareness and helping to create new beginnings for those affected by the disease of addiction.
We strive to create a united voice among advocacy groups in order to create change.
